Rules
As from this session going forward the Dalguise (Juniors) and Summer Camp (Company) will require boys to meet certain targets to be enabled to attend these activities. These trips are rewards for the boys hard work, behavour and attendance during the sessions.
1. Boys must meet the expected behavour levels of the Officers throughout the session.
2. Boys must be in attendance for at least 50% of meetings within the boys time in the Brigade that Session.
for example if a boy joins in January he will be in attendance at 50% or more meetings between January and May.
These are just guidlines and in all cases Officers Discretion can be used.
The Dalguise pre Trip meeting will be held on Monday 18th March at 19:30 in the church hall.
Parents of those attending should be at the meeting especially those who have not been to Dalguise with us before.
Consent forms are now in the Links section of the website and should be completed for Every boy attending the trip - without these we cannot take the boys away.
We are Fundriasing this summer with the help of the Football World Cup in Russia.
We have prediction sheets currently being handed out - if you want one and havent got yet please use the contact form to request one emailed to you.
You have to predict the way the groups will finish after all the games are played in the Group stages. Each team you place in the correct finishing position will gain you 20points.
Secondly you need to predict who the 8 teams are that will reach the Quarter Finals of the tournament. Each correct team selection made will gain you 20points.
Finally you must predict the top 4 teams in the tournament - So who will win and who will finish runner up. Who will win the 3rd Fourth play off and who will be the 4th place team. Correct team selectons in this part will gain points dependant on position.
The 4 people who have the most points at the end of the tournament will win a prize (yet to be determinded [dependant on the income]).
Good Luck and Thank you for helping raise funds for the 8th Falkirk Boys Brigade.

Dear all Parents / Guardians,
It is with great regret that the 8th Falkirk Company of the Boys Brigade will as of next session have to introduce a enrollment fee.
We have prided ourselves on the fact that between all the uniformed organisations (Boys Brigade, Girls Brigade, Scouts, Girl Guides) that we have been one of the very few companies that have not had an enrolemnt fee. However the time has come where we can no longer sustain to pick up the full cost of the fees which we have to pay.
As of the start of next session each boy in 8th Falkirk will be asked to pay a £10 enrolement fee. This Fee does not need to be paid straight away but there will be a deadline of Friday 23rd October.
The requirement to introduce this fee is due to the fees which we as a company have to pay annually. These cover insurance, company registration in both national and battalion. I will be more than happy to speak directly to parents on this matter and explain the break down of the payments we have to make to the national Boys Brigade if desired.
I thank you very much in advance for your understanding on this matter
